Nursing is an extraordinary career that requires commitment and attention. From the worldviews, I believed it’s a calling God gave to make sure there is complete healing of human beings from every sickness and pain. The people assigned to handle those cases require enough knowledge and training that will ensure the patients receive correct medication of any kind of disease and sufferings. Smith & Parker(2015) notes that being ordained as a nurse means selected to continue with the growth of creation by ensuring character development among people, nurture compassion, and increase human connection. Addressing the issue of other people is only possible when the nurse has worked on their weaknesses. Nestel& Bearman(2015) assert that’s, it’s the responsibility of nurses to work on themselves and grow their personalities before handling other people. Considering patients have different perceptions and characters, that means that they should be able to handle all types of patients. Personal growth is possible when the healing resources provided are used effectively. They entail prayers, God, and faith. They are essential for any nurse to develop the art of humanity, care, and kindness to patients. Charles et al. (2014) note that the heart to understand and ears to listen to patients is the first step of the healing process to a patient. All patients require enough care and love to feel appreciated by society. Nursing personal growth means being in a position to accepts others and their healthcare belief, good a strong relationship bond, and trust that will give hope to patients so that they have a real-life with quality.

In my personal world view is essential to create a good communication ground where a patient can gain trust with the nurse and open up her issue besides the physical symptoms seen by the nurses. Because nurses are in a position to continue with God’s creation, they have the power to convince a patient and heal there soul. Smith & Parker(2015) notes that when the soul is still sick, all the physical treatment done is nothing. The patient is still ill. It essential for the nurses to adopt an approach of healing the soul of a patient. in addition to the physical treatment of the seen symptoms. therefore the nurses should be empowered with knowledge on how to go about it until the patient trusts them so that their souls are healed as well when they leave the healthcare they are received complete healing
Nursing theory
Nursing theory serves as a guideline to nurses to ensure they move in the right direction at the right time and operating in line with the available resources. The chosen theory is Watson’s theory, Tektas &Cam(2017) states that this theory believes that care goes beyond human contact. Instead, it goes more in-depth on focusing on the patient’s soul. He adds that when nurses care for a patient, they not only health them physically, but instead, they go deeper towards occupying a space in the life that touches there spirituality and thus detecting their health condition. Nurses develop a bond between the patient and their spirituality. This theory centers on the holistic method of care instead of plan and diseases.Clark (2016) notes that health is made complete through caring. Therefore curing of the illness can be done, but illness will continue when enough care is not made. This theory states that caring should be part of health. It creates a quicker response of the patients during the treatment process.
The theory is the group into several elements that are caring moments, Caritas presses, Caritas processes, and transpersonal connection of caring. The Caritas presses nursing exercising of love and kindness concerning care. Besides, it supports authentic and allows individual beliefs and personal worldview in an environment where a person is cared for. The Caritas processes involve actual teaching and creating healing surroundings and supporting the patient with basic needs. Besides, it is concerned with patients attending religious services and opening some spiritual mysteries. Additionally, Tektas &Cam(2017) notes it allows the transformation in all areas of life and the transformation of the situation that means a miracle can happen.
Similarities between personal worldview and Watson theory
The similarity between the theory and my worldviews is that both emphasize the care. The two don’t only limit the treating of the diseases based on the symptoms, but it goes deeper in looking at the holistic care of patients. Giving healing care by going deeper to consider patients’ spirituality and linking up with their spiritual level is essential. This theory highly advocates for such as well as my worldview. It addresses communication that gives patients hope, gaining the trust of the patient and injecting positive belief inpatients that will lead to healing and wellness (Wilson et al., 2018). The same applies to the theory; it emphasizes engaging patients through teaching and building a healthy environment. It supports going for spiritual matters and encourages healing miracles. The two support the care that goes further than receiving a cure from the physical symptoms of a given disease. Clark (2016)notes that the theory aims at lighting hope in people, creating a desire to live a good life in good health, and looking at another part of life by encouraging them to make great achievements in life.
The theory supports the holistic method of care I had in my worldview through the Caritas process. It stresses establishing a healing surrounding that will go beyond the ordinary caring approach. It supports the spiritual part, which creates hopes and focuses on patient needs and teaching far beyond physical care (Yeter, 2015). However, the entire concept is achievable when the nurses are complete and well empowered with personal growth and appropriate skills for patient care. Besides, they should be determined to attain the best from their roles of healing the patient. Therefore, emphasizing the spiritual relationship, the theory supports my thought on personal development and personal growth as a means of reaching a higher level of competence and maturity among nurses.
How theory and worldview can solve the issue of past and present practice?
From my experience in nursing, I did inpatient care to older adults that had different health issues. Some of them had developed bone issues due to aging and other diseases that come in the old age. Besides, other conditions were dislocation of bones due to falling and other chronic diseases. The majority of the elderly confessed suffering from physical ailments, but there face expressed the need for healing far beyond physical symptoms. Some could show frustrations and stress based on how they reacted. Besides, they showed worries in their faces due to the business, family, and daily operations. Other patients had a perception that the frequent and increasing sickness was a sign of end-time days. In such a case is evidence that treating patients’ physical diseases will only help them to end the physical symptoms of the disease by their mental health will still be tortured. However, the curing of the disease was not an assurance that is patient as well because their mental health is still suffering.
The spirituality of a person is a very critical area that needs to be upright always for the other parts of the body to function well. From the inpatient care I handled, I realized that even after the patient attending the physical cure of particular disease symptoms, they were not satisfied. You could hear them complain of so many issues that showed there spiritual health was still sick. This theory is useful in handling such cases of the patient because complete healing is far beyond ordinary medications. I had to approach some of the infected patients to open up their mental health issues. I discovered the majority had a significant mental disturbance that resulted in stress and depression and some, which might have contributed to the increase of the physical disease symptoms. Therefore the low level of spirituality could develop them an attitude of going back to sickness. The Watson theory and the personal worldview see patient care from a different perspective where physical treatment is not a complete solution. It emphasizes caring that covers nursing a patient and considering humanity’s call of nature in the process of care. Yeter (2015) notes that the theory helps establish the healing surrounding that removes individual worries and brings hope through love and care. Besides, the ability to understand and encourage a miracle in healing motivates the patients.
How they assist in future practice
The personal worldview stresses the personal growth of nurses based on the knowledge and appropriate skills. Wilsonet al. (2018) note that achieving expected completeness in nursing requires a high level of training and necessary experience before thinking of caring for others. The personal worldview I created will support me in building my nursing profession and increase my level of competence in the market. Besides, it will improve my ability to exercise the knowledge I have and the skills I acquired to provide quality and reliable care to patients. The theory emphasizes on the personal development and healing surroundings that covers the human health situation and the humanity procedure of care (Yeter, 2015). Therefore this will support me in developing more spiritual and ethical areas of concern. Considering patients have different characters as well as their social, psychological. Mental and biological demands are different. It will support the growth of a holistic approach and understanding of the nurse position in teaching and care.
